Due to the increased development of urban areas and climate change, water resource management is gaining more attention.Among the most important aspects under scrutiny is 12n/1200 wella improving the reliability of water resources.In this paper, the focus is on the dynamic modelling of a well field in EPANET.By dynamic modelling, we mean that the numerical model can adjust the water levels in the wells with respect to the extracted flow rate, according to the results of the hydrogeological study of the area.
The operation of a well field must sometimes be realized at partial loads.In this latter case, all the duty points of the pumps in operation change and the flow rates may exceed the maximum allowed values, leading to the rapid clogging of the wells.The model and results obtained for different operating scenarios here will be presented in the paper.
